ARC was provided by Edelweiss and the publisher。I also accessed the audiobook version via Hoopla。This was good。 I enjoy Yates's series 。。。 I did Gold Valley and Copper Ridge and I keep picking up these Four Corners Ranch stories。 But I wish this had more palpable tension between the two main characters。 They both were keeping the other at arms length and both have had feelings since childhood, but it didn't really feel like they felt that deeply for each other。 I wish the buildup and the tension ARC was provided by Edelweiss and the publisher。I also accessed the audiobook version via Hoopla。This was good。 I enjoy Yates's series 。。。 I did Gold Valley and Copper Ridge and I keep picking up these Four Corners Ranch stories。 But I wish this had more palpable tension between the two main characters。 They both were keeping the other at arms length and both have had feelings since childhood, but it didn't really feel like they felt that deeply for each other。 I wish the buildup and the tension had been thicker throughout。 。。。more

Yates takes romance to heart。 Her stories plow through the barriers of the soul。 From relatable characters to emotional stories and tantalizing romance, she makes a dazzling impression。 The Troublemaker is heartache at it's most beautiful。 Lachlan and Charity are friendship at it's most enduring and love at it's most vulnerable。 Yates takes romance to heart。 Her stories plow through the barriers of the soul。 From relatable characters to emotional stories and tantalizing romance, she makes a dazzling impression。 The Troublemaker is heartache at it's most beautiful。 Lachlan and Charity are friendship at it's most enduring and love at it's most vulnerable。 。。。more

Maisey Yates brings us the story of Charity and Lachlan。 They both have something in common: They have felt loss。 Ever since she found Lachlan, they have been best friends ever since。 They are the best thing in each other's lives。 When Lachlan asks Charity for a favor, sparks start to fly between them。 Will they give in after all these years, or will they want to keep their friendship intact and ignore those feelings? And if they do, will it lead to happiness or devastation? And if they do, will it lead to happiness or devastation? Charity and Lachlan must maneuver around all the feelings around them and figure out what to do about them。Maisey Yates brings us the story of friendship and the love between two people as a result of it。 When passion comes into the equation, they must figure out if it is worth the gamble, or if fear will get in their way。 I enjoyed seeing how these two would react to each other and how they try to figure out life when things change。There was also a short novella about Jude and Penny。 Jude and Penny were childhood best friends who had to watch out for each other because of what life had thrown at them。 They were each other's first love and first kiss。 They were everything to each other until they weren't。 Years later, they run in to each other and they take a chance。 Will this chance lead them to happiness, or will the hurt from the past be too much to get over?I read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 I would like to thank NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing, Canary Street Press for this privilege。 。。。more
